A novelist, poet, songwriter and creator of original television and film concepts, Kevin has developed a body of work that spans contemporary fiction, historical themes, mystery, faith, psychological drama and speculative futures. His published novel Pittwater is part of an expanding collection of original projects that also includes SEVEN, Dracula the Return, and a growing catalogue of songs, poetry and screen ideas.

The Story Behind Pittwater
I had been in Australia a few months completing my Yacht Masters Course. We had sailed up to Pittwater which was north of Sydney a few times now as it was a good day's sail from Sydney Harbour and it was a good place to practice our sailing manoeuvres.
It was after a long rough stormy day sailing that we arrived back late one night at the marina wet through and still raining as we moored up on the pontoon. I was never going to get to sleep so I quietly put on some clothes and went for a walk.
As I walked up and down the leafy suburbs of Pittwater, all the rich houses with their solar lights giving a soft glow to their expensive gates and drives with perfect views out across one of the largest sea inlets in the world looking down on the yachts, speedboats and marinas.
My mind was turning over — I started to create a story in my head set in this beautiful setting, but with a sinister twist and corruption to shock the inhabitants of this respectful and peaceful place.
Politics, corruption and a sadistic killer — what more would a good thriller need. Now enjoying my solitary night walk I started constructing the plot.

Kevin E. M. Clark is a British author and producer based in North Yorkshire, whose work explores the tension between personal loyalty and political consequence. Although he comes from a working‑class background — having spent years in the steel works, on construction sites in London, and later at the Bank of England as an electrical controls engineer — his creative voice is shaped not by those industries but by the cultural worlds he immersed himself in.
Clark’s storytelling draws its energy from subculture: the music, films, television, and art that shaped his sense of atmosphere, character, and moral complexity. His debut novel, Pittwater, reflects that blend of influences, offering grounded realism and emotional ambiguity rather than autobiographical grit. The book’s reception led to its ongoing film adaptation, where Clark serves as Writer (story/novel) and Producer.
In interviews, Clark speaks openly about the contrast between where he comes from and where his imagination lives. His work is driven by the belief that stories are built from what we absorb — the culture we love, the worlds we explore, and the questions we can’t stop asking.
