Kevin wrote the lyrics to “One Way Home” and “A Strange Kind of Lovin’”, both of which appear on Be Careful What You Wish For.

Discussing the making of the album, songwriter Jim Shepherd explained how the collaboration came about:

“I borrowed two lyrics from a friend, the author Kevin Clark.”

​

Those lyrics became two of the album’s most distinctive tracks, with both subsequently singled out for praise by reviewers.
